2020 Château de la Crée Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos Chareau

The fame of the Chassagne-Montrachet subregion derives from its proximity to the most famous Chardonnay vineyard in the world, the legendary Le Montrachet. Our small parcel of very old vines, many planted 60 years ago, enjoys an excellent southeast exposure and deep drainage, leading to wines of remarkable intensity and body.

The 2020 vintage is a harmonious and multifaceted wine that offers an enticing array of aromas and flavors. Hints of tropical notes, like dried pineapple and lusciousness quince offset the vibrancy of Meyer lemon on the nose. On the palate, the wine seduces with a marshmallow-like texture intertwined with notes of fruity sweetness and a delightful spiciness, highlighted by fennel seed and cardamom.
