6-pack of 2019 Domaine Serene, ‘Grand Cheval’ Oregon Red Wine 750 mL
Includes one wood Grand Cheval box
To make Grand Cheval, we take the best characteristics of two very different varietals, Syrah from the Walla Walla Valley, and our own Pinot Noir grapes from the Dundee Hills, and blend them in perfect harmony to create our own version of the ideal “steak-house wine.” This wine is substantial enough for the richest of dishes, yet soft enough to please any palate.
The 2019 'Grand Cheval' combines the restrained yet complex notes of dark red fruit and savory pepper while balancing its vibrancy through structured tannins, creating an elegant wine that is perfect for sharing.

This 70-30 blend of Syrah and Pinot Noir brings together fruit from the Walla Walla Valley and Dundee Hills AVAs. Blueberries, lilac and cotton candy aromas transition to flavors like black tea, dark chocolate and a bitter almond note. Fruit is shy on the palate, but the acidity is not.
The Story
About ‘Grand Cheval’
Grand Cheval is a cherished cornerstone of Domaine Serene created by our late co-founder Ken Evenstad that honors the legacy of his grandfather, a dedicated immigrant farmer who worked tirelessly alongside his loyal workhorse.
To make Grand Cheval we take the best characteristics of two very different varietals, Syrah from the Walla Walla Valley, and our own Pinot Noir grapes from the Dundee Hills, and blend them in perfect harmony to create our own version of the ideal “steakhouse wine.” This wine is substantial enough for the richest of dishes, yet soft enough to please any palate.
