The 2019 vintage from the Clos du Soleil Vineyard has much to offer. A striking minerality up front evokes comparisons to Burgundy, while a lovely veil of lemon confit and honeysuckle slowly glides over the tongue for an arc of surprising depth and richness. The crushed gravel and slate notes carry through to the mouthwatering finish in this racy and brilliant Chardonnay.
The Clos du Soleil vineyard is located on the east-facing slope of the Evenstad Estate, and is the only vineyard on the estate with an east-west row orientation. This Chardonnay vineyard is planted exclusively to Dijon clone 76, which accounts for its great density and persistence of flavor.
