The Gravières vineyard lies close to the border of Chassagne-Montrachet and is one of the most prestigious Premier Cru parcels in Santenay, the southernmost village within the Côte d’Or. With southerly exposure and elevation ranging from 690-780 feet, the vineyard grows both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. The word Gravières refers to the vineyard’s gravelly soils, which are based on the classic Burgundian limestone-clay marl.
The 2019 vintage is an attractive medium gold color in the glass with a lovely depth and structure. Complex notes of grilled white peach, fresh green melon, kiwi fruit, white flower, Bosc pear, and white mushroom balance together wonderfully and provide a satisfying texture in the mouth.

International Wine Report / Jeremy Young
"The largest vineyard of the estate that is planted to both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and has always been one of my favorites from Chateau de la Creé. An attractive medium gold color in the glass with a whitish rim, it’s aged for 15 months in French oak barrels which gives it some lovely depth and structure. Complex notes of grilled white peach, fresh green melon, kiwi fruit, white flower potpourri, Bosc pear, and white mushroom notes balance together wonderfully with the elevated acidity and are perfectly balanced, wonderfully textured in the mouth. 286 cases produced."
