The Château de la Crée, Santenay Premier Cru Gravières Pinot Noir has a mineral character that is subtle and not as overt as usual. The minerality has a tight tension to it, which is likely the result of the cooler climate in the appellation. The tannins are noticeable but not yet still soft enough to allow for easy drinking. The palate shows off morello cherries, tart cherries, and lemon flavors with hints of dried dark red apple underneath.
