The 2017 vintage of this special cuvée has a formidably complex nose of black cherry, cedar and flinty graphite, with an even deeper layer of mushroom and earth as one explores. Super silky and smooth on the palate, it is similarly complex in the mouth, with blueberry, rosemary and bramble upon entry, but then it accelerates towards a savory quality reminiscent of delicately-spiced lamb. With its soft tannins, acidity and minerality working in harmony, and its profound depth of expression, we believe that this is by far the best vintage yet of this offering.
