The 2020 Maison Evenstad Beaune Premier Cru Cellar Society Pinot Noir is a blend of six barrels of the Les Épenots Grand Cru vineyard stock, which was planted 80-85 years ago, and one barrel from the Hospices de Beaune auction.

The nose of this wine is suede and tamari. The palate is Hoisin, black cherry, black plum, bright and really good barrel notes, espresso bean, herbal quality, savory herb, anise and lavender at the same time. It has a lot of tannin but is well refined but ripe and ageable. This wine will age for decades due the tannin, its well refined, and ripe. Pairs well with a grilled steak.
